Binance has opened nominations for The Blockchain 100, 2026. It honors 100 creators who shaped how the world understands finance and blockchain this year. The community nominates, Binance shortlists, and public voting picks the winners. Nominations close today, 16 October, at 15:59 UTC (19:59 Dubai).

Matthias Mende, founder of bonuz and co-founder of Dubai Blockchain Center, is known on Binance Square as Professor Mende. He was named Binance Creator of the Year at Binance Blockchain Week Dubai in 2024. In 2025 he followed with Top Industry Advocate. Both times the community carried him there. This year he is going for Community Influencer of the Year.

Why it matters

Professor Mende posts every day on what moves the industry, from stablecoins and tokenized treasuries to new regulation, and explains it in plain words. He has been on Binance for close to nine years and has called Dubai home since 2007. His work is about one thing: bringing real people into Web3 in a way that makes sense to them. That is also what bonuz is built for, the human layer of the open internet.

How to nominate, in one minute

  1. Open the event page: binance.com/en/square/blockchain-100-2026
  2. Tap Nominate now and log in with your Binance account.
  3. Pick Community Influencer of the Year.
  4. Name Professor Mende, @mende on Binance Square.

Self-nominations and community nominations both count. The more valid nominations a creator gets, the better the chance to make the shortlist. The shortlist goes public on 19 October, when community voting opens. Winners are announced on 29 October, and the top 10 Community Influencers are invited to Binance Blockchain Week 2026 in Bangkok.

Thank you

Every award so far came from the community. If you have learned something from a Professor Mende post, this is the moment to say so. Nominate, share it with a friend, and we will see you at the vote on 19 October.
