Singapore had a busy week. TOKEN2049 brought the industry to Marina Bay, and bonuz came with something people could play.
Neon cats in the city
Open bonuz, raise your phone, and the city fills with neon cats only you can see. They sit on railings, stretch on the promenade and dart between people. Walk close enough and you can catch one. It lands in your bag, and it is yours.
During TOKEN2049 week, people did exactly that. They ran, laughed, compared their catches and came back for more. Nobody needed a tutorial. That is the point of bonuz: real people in real places, with a layer of play on top.
How the cats work
The cats wander the kilometre around you, and you see them through the camera, right where they are. To catch one you have to walk up to it. A tap from the other side of town does nothing. That one rule changes how people move through a place. They look up, they explore, they talk to the person chasing the same cat.
The cats are just for fun. They are not a prize and they are worth nothing, and people still love them. Play does not need a price tag to bring a city to life.
Why it matters
Every cat is caught by a real person standing in a real spot. That is rare now, when most digital channels can no longer tell a person from a program. The same idea powers everything else in bonuz: quests and events that brands, venues and cities run in the real world, where every arrival is a verified human.
Live at the Sovereign Conclave
bonuz also ran live at the Dubai AI & Web3 Sovereign Conclave at the National Gallery Singapore, hosted by Huawei and the Dubai Blockchain Center. The event ran on bonuz, and it worked the way it should: the event on bonuz.
New faces, new conversations
Many new people joined bonuz this week. We met founders, partners and some of the sharpest voices in the space, and walked them through what comes next. They know now. Some of it is already in motion, and we will share more when the time is right.

More places, more events and more reasons to step outside with your phone up. The groundwork from Singapore is done. Now it turns into the next chapter.
