Your gateway to decentralized finance. No seed phrases. No barriers.

Decentralized finance has grown from an experiment into a parallel financial system. Over $130 billion in assets sit in DeFi protocols across dozens of blockchains. Aave alone manages more than $27 billion in lending markets across 18 chains. Lido secures over $27 billion in staked ETH. Uniswap processes billions in trading volume every month. These are not experimental projects. They are working financial infrastructure used by millions of people worldwide.

But here is the problem: most people still cannot access DeFi easily. The typical setup requires installing MetaMask, writing down a 12-word seed phrase, configuring RPC endpoints for each chain, and hoping you never lose that piece of paper. bonuz removes every one of those barriers.

bonuz connects to every DeFi protocol that supports WalletConnect v2. That covers the entire ecosystem: Aave for lending and borrowing, Uniswap and PancakeSwap for token swaps, Lido and Rocket Pool for liquid staking, Compound for interest earning, Curve for stablecoin trading, 1inch for aggregated DEX routing, Yearn Finance for automated yield, Pendle for yield tokenization, Jupiter and Raydium on Solana, and hundreds more. Open any protocol in your browser, select WalletConnect, scan the QR code with bonuz, and you are connected. Every transaction is reviewed and approved inside your wallet before it is signed.

The multi-chain advantage is critical for DeFi. Ethereum holds around 68 percent of total DeFi value locked, but the ecosystem spans far beyond Ethereum mainnet. Solana powers fast DeFi protocols with sub-second finality and near-zero gas fees. BNB Chain hosts PancakeSwap and Venus. Base and Arbitrum are growing rapidly as lower-cost Layer 2 alternatives. Polygon, Avalanche, and HyperEVM round out the picture. bonuz supports all of them from one app, one login, one set of keys.

Built-in swaps go through multiple DEX aggregators, primarily LI.FI along with 1inch, Uniswap, PancakeSwap, Jupiter, and others, automatically finding the best rate across all connected liquidity sources. Cross-chain swaps let you move assets between chains without using a separate bridge. Swap ETH on Ethereum for SOL on Solana, or move USDC from Polygon to Base, all within the bonuz app.

No seed phrases. No 12 words on a post-it note. bonuz uses MPC/TSS (Multi-Party Computation / Threshold Signature Scheme) key technology to split your private key into encrypted shares. No single share is enough to access your wallet. You sign in with your email, Google, or Apple ID, and your wallet is ready. If you lose your phone, sign in on a new device and everything is restored. You still have full self-custody. bonuz cannot access your funds. And if you ever want to export your key or seed phrase for use in another wallet, you can.

Security runs through every layer. Hacken audited smart contracts score 10/10. Halborn and NCC Group verified key infrastructure. SOC 2 Type II certified operations. Face ID, a separate sending PIN for every outgoing transaction, configurable auto-lock, and optional MFA. You can create unlimited wallets from the same login: one for DeFi, one for savings, one for daily spending. Same security, total flexibility.

DeFi is powerful, but it carries real risks. Smart contract exploits, impermanent loss, liquidation events, and protocol-specific vulnerabilities are part of the landscape. bonuz protects your wallet. It does not eliminate the risks of the protocols you connect to. Always do your own research before depositing funds into any DeFi protocol.

Understand DeFi Risks Before You Start

DeFi gives you direct access to financial protocols without intermediaries. That is powerful, but it comes with risks that centralized platforms typically absorb on your behalf. When you use DeFi through bonuz or any other wallet, you are interacting with smart contracts, not with a bank or a company that can reverse a mistake.

Smart contract risk.

DeFi protocols run on code. If that code has a bug or vulnerability, funds deposited in the protocol can be lost. Even audited protocols have been exploited. Always check whether a protocol has been independently audited, and consider starting with small amounts.

Impermanent loss.

If you provide liquidity to a DEX pool (for example, ETH/USDC on Uniswap), your position can lose value relative to simply holding the assets, especially when token prices move sharply. This is called impermanent loss and it is inherent to automated market maker design.

Liquidation risk.

When you borrow against collateral on lending protocols like Aave or Compound, your collateral can be automatically sold (liquidated) if its value drops below the required threshold. Monitor your positions and maintain healthy collateralization ratios.

Token approval risk.

DeFi protocols ask for token approvals, smart contract permissions to spend your tokens. Unlimited approvals can be exploited if the protocol is compromised. Revoke unused approvals regularly using tools like Revoke.cash.

Rug pulls and unaudited protocols.

Not all DeFi protocols are trustworthy. Some are built to drain user funds. Stick to well-known, audited protocols. Verify contracts. Never deposit more than you can afford to lose into any single protocol.

bonuz protects your wallet security with MPC key splitting, Hacken-audited smart contracts, Face ID, and a sending PIN. But no wallet can protect you from the risks of the protocols you connect to. Your keys, your responsibility.

Self-Custodial Security for DeFi

Your DeFi wallet. Your keys. Your rules.

bonuz is self-custodial by design. When you connect to Aave, Uniswap, Lido, or any other DeFi protocol, bonuz is the wallet that holds your keys and signs your transactions. bonuz cannot access your funds, reverse your transactions, or interact with protocols on your behalf.

How your keys are protected:

Your private key is secured with MPC/TSS (Multi-Party Computation / Threshold Signature Scheme) technology. Instead of storing your key as one piece, bonuz splits it into encrypted shares distributed across multiple secure environments. No single share is enough to access your wallet. This is the same approach used by institutional custody platforms, adapted for everyday use. The MPC infrastructure is powered by Web3Auth, trusted by over 50 million users globally.

bonuz uses HD (Hierarchical Deterministic) wallet infrastructure on top of MPC. Your Ethereum and EVM addresses use m/44'/60'/0'/0'. Your Solana addresses use m/44'/501'/0'/0'. Standard derivation paths, fully compatible with the broader ecosystem.

Independently audited. Independently verified.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about DeFi and bonuz

What is a DeFi wallet?
A DeFi wallet is a self-custodial crypto wallet that lets you connect directly to decentralized finance protocols like Aave, Uniswap, PancakeSwap, Lido, Compound, and Curve. Unlike exchange accounts, a DeFi wallet gives you full control of your private keys while you lend, borrow, swap, stake, and provide liquidity. bonuz is a multi-chain DeFi wallet that connects to hundreds of DeFi protocols via WalletConnect v2 across Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, and more. No seed phrases required.
How does bonuz connect to DeFi protocols?
bonuz uses WalletConnect v2, the open-source protocol that links wallets to decentralized applications. Open any DeFi protocol in your browser, select WalletConnect, scan the QR code with bonuz, and you are connected. No browser extensions. No extra software. You can connect to Aave to lend or borrow, Uniswap or PancakeSwap to swap, Lido to stake ETH, Compound to earn interest, Curve for stablecoin swaps, and hundreds of other protocols.
Which DeFi protocols work with bonuz?
Any DeFi protocol that supports WalletConnect works with bonuz. This includes Aave (lending and borrowing), Uniswap (token swaps), PancakeSwap (BNB Chain DEX), Lido (liquid staking), Compound (lending), Curve (stablecoin swaps), 1inch (DEX aggregation), SushiSwap, Yearn Finance, Pendle, Hyperliquid, Jupiter (Solana DEX), Raydium (Solana AMM), and many more. bonuz also has built-in swap functionality powered by LI.FI, 1inch, and other aggregators for trades directly inside the app.
Can I lend and borrow crypto with bonuz?
Yes. You can connect bonuz to lending protocols like Aave, Compound, and Spark via WalletConnect v2. Deposit stablecoins or other assets to earn interest, or borrow against your collateral. All lending and borrowing happens on-chain through the protocol’s smart contracts. bonuz is just the wallet that signs the transactions. bonuz never holds or controls your deposited funds.
Can I stake ETH through bonuz?
Yes. You can connect bonuz to Lido, Rocket Pool, or any other liquid staking protocol via WalletConnect v2. Stake your ETH and receive liquid staking tokens like stETH or rETH that continue earning staking rewards while remaining usable across DeFi. Current ETH staking yields are around 3 to 4 percent annually. bonuz also supports direct interaction with staking protocols on Solana and other chains.
Does bonuz have built-in token swaps?
Yes. bonuz routes swaps through multiple DEX aggregators, primarily LI.FI along with 1inch, Uniswap, PancakeSwap, Jupiter, and others. The app automatically finds the best rate across all connected liquidity sources. You can swap any token pair on any supported chain. Cross-chain swaps are also supported, so you can move assets between Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Base, Polygon, and Arbitrum without leaving the app.
Do I need seed phrases for DeFi with bonuz?
No. bonuz uses MPC (Multi-Party Computation) key technology instead of seed phrases. Your private key is split into encrypted shares distributed across multiple secure environments, so there is no single point of failure. You sign in with your email, Google, or Apple ID. This means you get the full DeFi access of a self-custodial wallet without the risk of losing 12 words on a piece of paper. You can optionally export a private key or seed phrase if you want.
Which blockchains does bonuz support for DeFi?
bonuz supports DeFi across Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Avalanche, HyperEVM, and more. Ethereum holds around 68 percent of all DeFi value locked. Solana powers fast DeFi protocols like Jupiter and Raydium. BNB Chain hosts PancakeSwap and Venus. Base and Arbitrum are growing rapidly as lower-cost alternatives to Ethereum mainnet. All of these are accessible from one bonuz app.
Is DeFi safe?
DeFi involves real risks that you should understand before participating. Smart contract bugs can lead to loss of funds. Impermanent loss affects liquidity providers when token prices change. Liquidation risk means your collateral can be sold if its value drops below the required threshold. Some DeFi protocols are not audited or have been exploited. bonuz protects your wallet with Hacken-audited smart contracts (10/10), MPC key security, and Face ID plus sending PIN. But wallet security does not eliminate the risks of the DeFi protocols you connect to. Always verify that protocols are audited and understand the risks before depositing funds.
What is WalletConnect and how does it work with bonuz?
WalletConnect is an open-source protocol that creates an encrypted connection between your wallet and a DeFi app. When you visit a protocol like Aave or Uniswap in your browser, select WalletConnect, and scan the QR code with bonuz, a secure session is established. The DeFi app can then request transaction signatures from your wallet. You review and approve each transaction in bonuz before it is sent. WalletConnect does not give the DeFi app access to your private keys. bonuz supports WalletConnect v2, the latest version with improved security and multi-chain session support.
Can I earn yield on stablecoins through bonuz?
Yes. You can connect bonuz to lending protocols like Aave, Compound, or Spark via WalletConnect v2 and deposit stablecoins like USDT, USDC, or DAI to earn interest. You can also provide liquidity on Curve for stablecoin pairs or use yield aggregators like Yearn Finance. Yields vary by protocol, market conditions, and the stablecoin you deposit. bonuz does not offer native in-app yield but gives you full access to DeFi yield opportunities through WalletConnect.
Is bonuz free for DeFi?
Yes. bonuz is free to download and free to use for DeFi. There is no subscription and no premium tier. Network gas fees apply when making on-chain transactions like swaps, deposits, or withdrawals from DeFi protocols. Gas fees depend on the chain, not bonuz. On Ethereum mainnet, gas can range from a few cents to several dollars. On Layer 2 chains like Base, Polygon, and Arbitrum, gas is typically under one cent. bonuz also sponsors gas for many core ecosystem actions.
How does bonuz compare to MetaMask for DeFi?
Both wallets are self-custodial and connect to DeFi protocols. Key differences: bonuz uses MPC technology instead of seed phrases by default, so your wallet is nearly impossible to lose. bonuz supports Solana, Bitcoin, and all EVM chains in one app, while MetaMask does not natively support Solana. bonuz has a Hacken 10/10 audit score. bonuz is available in 24 languages. MetaMask charges a 0.875% service fee on swaps while bonuz does not. MetaMask has the widest dApp ecosystem compatibility due to its browser extension and is the default wallet for many Ethereum-based DeFi protocols.
What are token approvals and how do I manage them?
When you interact with a DeFi protocol, it often asks for a token approval, which is a smart contract permission to spend a specific token from your wallet. For example, depositing USDC into Aave requires you to first approve USDC spending. Be careful with unlimited approvals, as they allow the protocol to spend any amount of that token indefinitely. If the protocol is later exploited, your approved tokens could be at risk. You can manage and revoke token approvals using tools like Revoke.cash. bonuz shows you each approval request clearly before you sign it.
Can I use bonuz for DeFi on Solana?
Yes. bonuz supports Solana natively, so you can interact with Solana DeFi protocols like Jupiter (the leading Solana DEX aggregator), Raydium (AMM and liquidity), Marinade (liquid staking for SOL), and others. Solana DeFi offers sub-second transaction times and gas fees well under one cent, making it an attractive option for frequent DeFi activity. You can also swap SPL tokens directly inside bonuz.
